INFLUENCE OF CHEMICAL COMPOSITION AND strengthening heat treatment ON structure AND mechanical properties OF THICK ROLLED PLATE METAL FROM SYSTEM Ti-al-Mo-V-Cr-Fe PSEUDO-β-TITANIUM ALLOY

Influence of partial replacement of vanadium by chrome on structure and mechanical properties of rolled plates from titanium pseudo-beta alloy Ti-Al-Mo-V-Cr-Fe after strengthening heat treatment on various modes of aging is investigated. Optimum complex of properties is reached at replacement of 1,4% of chrome by 3,5% of vanadium concerning base composition.

STUDY OF VT6-ALLOY BARS MECHANICAL PROPERTIES STABILITY BASED ON CEMICHAL COMPOSITION AND ANNEALING CONDITIONS

The statistic research of chemical composition and mechanical properties of VT6-alloy rolled bars (diameter of 15–150 mm) after annealing under different conditions has been carried out. Regression dependencies to provide regulated values of mechanical properties in accordance with industry standards have been proposed. It has been shown that bars should have a chemical composition equivalent to=8,0±0,5%,=3,2±0,5% to exclude the possibility of α2-phase formation and to achieve regulated values of mechanical properties. Recommendations for properties stability increase of bars by the adjustment of annealing conditions and the alloy content have been proposed.

IDENTIFICATION OF TITANIUM ALLOYS WHEN TESTED IN THE CRYOGENIC TEMPERATURE RANGE
In-process set forth in the криогенной area of temperatures", in particular, titanic alloys of relatively operating reliability, based on comparison of totality of физико-механических parameters (σb, σ02, δ5, μ, А*, έ, Т). Examples are made for the titanic alloys of VТ1-00, VТ1-0, VТ-1, VТ6, Ti-5Al-2,5Sn, Ti-5Al-2,5Zr, deformed at a криогенной temperature (to 4,2 К). SYNTHESIS OF V-Al-N PRECURSOR BY NITRIDING OF V(50–74)-Al INDUSTRIAL ALLOY POWDERS IN THE RETORT AT 0.1 MPa NITROGEN PRESSURE

The possibility of nitriding of V(50–74)-Al industrial alloy powders at a nitrogen pressure of 0.1 MPa confirmed by the methods of thermogravimetric, differential thermal, XRD and chemical analyzes. It has been established that the degree of nitration of alloys is affected by temperature, heating rate, powder fineness, as well as its initial composition. A V-Al-N precursor, chemical (N = 15.7) and phase (V(Al)s.s., VN, AlN) compositions of which are similar to those for the nitrogen-containing material obtained by the SHS method and currently used for the smelting of nitrogen-containing V-Al alloys designed for microalloying with nitrogen of structural titanium (α+β)-alloys, can be obtained by processing of powder mixture of V(65)-Al industrial alloy with aluminum in a retort in a nitrogen stream at T = 1200°C.

OPTICAL SPECTROSCOPY METHODS IN TASKS OF PREVENTION EMERGENCIES IN THE MELTING OF REFRACTORY METALS

In this paper, the indication of modeled copper radiation arising from burning-through copper crystallizers during the melting of refractory metals by using a multi-channel optical spectrometer was reviewed. The obtained experimental data showed the possibility of using the spectrometer as a control device in real conditions to prevent emergencies during melting of refractory metals.

SELECTION OF THE QUANTITY OF THE ALLOWANCE AT ROUGH TREATMENT OF LARGE-SIZE PARTS FROM TITANIUM ALLOY OF VТ6

The article presents the results of experimental studies of the effect of cutting depth on cutting force and the procedure of assignment of allowance value at rough turning and melting of stamped blanks for large-size parts of rocket equipment from titanium alloy VT6.
As a result of the studies carried out, empirical dependence of cutting force on cutting depth was obtained, and method of allocation of allowance value was created, which is very important in processing of large-size stamped blanks.

IMPROVING THE WEAR RESISTANCE OF TITANIUM PARTS OPERATED IN FRICTION UNITS AND SEALS

In this article, the materials and coatings that ensure the performance of titanium parts operated in friction and sealing units are considered.
Tungsten-Nickel composite materials, WC-Ni-C systems were chosen for highly loaded units operating under semi-dry (boundary) friction.
For the use of titanium alloys in sealing, studies were carried out on a titanium sample of PT-3V alloy coated with tungsten carbide paired with a carbon-silicon carbide material.
All tested materials and coatings have passed a full cycle of tests and have shown good results in wear and friction coefficient.

CALCULATION OF THE NON-STATIONARY TEMPERATURE FIELD OF ROCKET AND SPACE TECHNOLOGY PRODUCTS MADE OF TITANIUM ALLOYS SUBJECTED TO COMPLEX RADIANT-CONVECTIVE HEATING

In this paper, we consider the method of theoretical calculation of a nonstationary temperature field in the isotropic approximation under the influence of an external heat load in the applied software “Therm”. The object of the study is an autonomous docking station (ASA) of the perspective Federation transport vehicle. Three possible options were considered for calculating the temperature field of a docking station exposed to radiant-convective heating, both for the conditions of two-hole descent in dense layers of the Earth’s atmosphere and for conditions of thermostatic testing. A theoretical and experimental calculation of the temperature field was validated and recommendations on the proposed methodologies were put forward.

MODERN ASPECTS OF THE DEVELOPMENT AND MARKET PROMOTION OF TITANIUM ALLOYS

The paper considers the problems of development and market promotion of high-tech titanium alloys and identifies the main market trends. A typology of production models of high-tech products is presented, which differ in the degree of influence of various environmental factors on a particular production environment. The main approaches to the segmentation of the high-tech products market are described.
